Festival Medallion Quest

Begins: May 15th, 4 pm; The first clue will be released on the steps of the Smoky Hill Museum (211 W. Iron Ave)
Salina’s favorite treasure hunt! A hand-crafted Medallion is hidden on public property somewhere in Salina. Clues are released on the Festival Medallion Quest webpage until the Medallion is found. Clues will also be posted on the west entry doors of the Salina Arts and Humanities offices at 211 W. Iron Ave.
Festival Weekend
Festival Jam
Thursday, June 13
6 pm – 10 pm at Eric Stein Stage
It all begins with the amazing feat of the Festival Jam – 16 bands of every imaginable musical style, changing out every 15 minutes. The Jam showcases regional and local entertainers in a quick-time format. Food vendors open at 4 pm on Thursday with a full array of dazzling Festival fare. Art Patron PREMIERE Party
Thursday, June 13
7 pm to 9 pm
The PREMIERE party takes place on Thursday from 7 pm to 9 pm under the Stage II tent and is an exclusive party for exhibiting artists and registered art patrons. Attendees will enjoy uniquely delicious food and drink pairings in a relaxed outdoor setting. A ticket is required for entry. To register, click HERE.

JOIN US for the running of the Festival’s five-mile, two-mile, children’s road races, and two-mile walk. Entry fee required. All races begin and end near the locomotive in Kenwood Park.

First Treasures, Art for Young Collectors
Saturday, June 15
10:15 am to 1:30 pm at First Treasures Tent, north of Arty’s Stage
Children 4 to 13 years old; $5 or less*
First Treasures allows young art patrons ages four to 13 to choose and purchase original artwork at child-affordable prices of $5 or less. The tented venue features a variety of media from our Festival artists and craft artisans. The purpose of the First Treasures program is to encourage, educate, and develop future art patrons. Young art buyers are encouraged to visit the artist at their Festival booth to discuss their selection and learn more about art and artists.
Children pre-register for entrance time blocks, staggered every 30 minutes.
Registration for entrance times begins at 10 am on Saturday. Festival gates open at 10 am.
Line up five to 10 minutes before your entrance time block begins. All original artwork is divided as evenly as possible between time blocks, so every child gets the same chance to find something they love.
*if a child needs additional assistance in the tent or with check-out, please inform staff when you pick up their entrance time card
Time to Get A Round-Tuit Scavenger Hunt

275 glass Tuits will be hidden on Festival grounds
LIMIT ONE PER PERSON
275 glass Tuits will be hidden on Festival grounds and are ready to BE Found. Each piece was handmade by Vaughn Evans, a current festival demonstration artist with 25 years of experience working with borosilicate glass. The glass Tuits feature a Boro bee and have an extra flash of sparkle from a unique silver fuming process. Tuits will NOT be hidden in the formal garden area of the park or inside artists’ booths, displays, or on performance stages. Please limit one per person.
Once you find a Tuit, it is yours, guard with your life. Tuits are rare, especially round ones. They make you more efficient. How often have you said, “I’ll get a Round Tuit.”? Now, you can accomplish all you want because you don’t need to wait any longer to get a Round Tuit.
Celebrate your discovery by posting a selfie and visiting Vaughn at the Craft Demonstration hut.
