Children enjoy the buzz and creative challenges of Creation Crossing, the home of free make-and-take art projects. They can also take a stroll along Game Street, Button Boulevard and Lego Lane and stop by Paintchoo Plaza to enjoy face painting. Be sure to make plans to visit Artyopolis!

Nothing says "I'm having Festival Fun!" more than a colorful, decorated face. Children can select from several fun faces by one of the professional face painters. This is a Festival favorite, but the quality is worth the wait!

First Treasures provides an opportunity for young art patrons ages four to 13 to choose and purchase original artwork at child-affordable prices of $5 or less. The tented venue features a variety of media made available from our Festival artists and craft artisans. The purpose of the First Treasures program is to encourage, educate, and develop art patrons of the future. Young art buyers can then visit their artist at their Festival booth to talk about their selection and to learn more about art and artists.

First Treasures is open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13.
  • Children pre-register for entrance time blocks, staggered every 30 minutes
  • Registration for entrance time blocks begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13 (Gates open at 10:00 a.m. Saturday)
  • Be in line a minimum of 5-10 minutes before your entrance time block begins

Game Street features exciting "pay-to-play" in a colorful, vibrant store-front setting that resembles a traditional downtown Main Street, with a splash of color and whimsy. Non-profit and community groups are invited to apply to provide a fun, exciting and active game for kids to enjoy at Festival.

If you are interested in taking part in this fundraising opportunity, but can't think of a game, call 785-309-5770 or e-mail, as Festival staff has many ideas and options to offer.

Games Application Deadline: March 9, 2020.

This onsite attraction is comprised of thousands of blocks in all shapes and colors. Design and build the ultimate spaceship, castle, or robot, then display your finished piece for others to admire.

Please stop by the Ident-A-Kid booth to get your child's I.D. bracelet. It is the best way for us to help you reconnect if anyone is misplaced while playing at the Festival.
